Welcome to “Common Ground” and the 2012 Architecture Biennale! The director of this year’s exhibition David Chipperfield claims we’re here to celebrate “shared ideas over individual authorship” and a “rich culture of difference rather than selection of edited and promoted positions.” But Mister Chipperfield has organized the exhibition in a nebulous and somewhat circuitous manner by not directly commissioning architects to install their own work.
